FAQ

What’s the difference between coconut soy wax and soy wax?

Our candles are made with a coco soy wax blend which is a step up from standard soy wax.

Coconut wax is one of the most luxurious and sustainable waxes out there. When blended with soy it creates a creamy even burn with an incredible scent throw. It’s a premium ingredient that costs a little more but gives you a candle experience that’s in a different league from standard soy wax.

Why has the candle/melt wax gone yellow?

Coconut soy wax is a natural plant based blend made without artificial whiteners or stabilisers.
Over time it can develop a light yellow tint due to oxidation, sunlight exposure or natural reactions with fragrance oils (especially those containing vanilla or citrus).
This mild colour change is completely normal and does not affect the burn, fragrance or quality.
Store your candle in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight to help preserve its creamy finish.

Why does my candle/melts have a frosted or cloudy look?

Frosting is a natural characteristic of soy and coconut soy wax. It appears as a white, crystalline layer on the surface or sides of the candle as the wax tries to return to its natural form.
This is completely harmless and does not affect performance or fragrance.
Frosting is a sign that your candle is made from pure, additive free wax and proof that no synthetic stabilisers or paraffin were used.

Why do some scents smell stronger than others?

Each fragrance oil has its own strength and composition so some scents naturally smell stronger than others.
Rich, warm notes like vanilla, sandalwood and amber create a more powerful aroma while light, fresh scents such as citrus, linen or florals are more subtle.
Room size and airflow can also influence scent strength.
Every candle is hand poured and carefully balanced to ensure a clean, consistent fragrance without being overpowering.

Why do colours vary between batches?

Because all of our products are handmade in small batches slight variations in colour or finish may occur.
These differences are natural and part of the charm of handcrafted products no two pieces are ever exactly alike!

How can I make my candle last longer?

  • Trim the wick to 5 mm before each burn.

  • Allow the wax to melt to the edge on the first burn to avoid tunneling.

  • Keep away from drafts and burn for 2–4 hours at a time.

  • Stop burning when 1 cm of wax remains.

Following these tips helps ensure a long, clean and even burn every time.
